I'M SERIOUS!!!! If you eat cupcakes you will die at the Big "A"
by Gojira_101 ini was just doing dishes not really thinking about anything in particular, and all of a sudden this experience came flooding back and i started crying.. a few years ago i went back to one of the states i lived in to see/visit my friends (before i learned ttatt, i was still a happy borg at this time).. the friends i were staying with had two young girls, one was 3rd grade and the other was preschool.
so one day the father comes home after picking up the older girl (i think she was 7, 8...i'm not sure exactly this was several years ago) and she was all red and looked like she had been crying.
i noticed she had some blue at the corner of her mouth.

Such a sad story. I remember how deadly eating cupcakes was supposed to be when I was a schoolkid.
In order to make up for all the stuff I missed out on before leaving the bOrg, here's my favorite birthday cupcakes...

Genetic Problems Among The Amish(They need to increase the size of their gene pool)
by frankiespeakin inhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_eajdq_sgdk.
they need some new dna introduced into their very closely related gene pool.
i don't think many from the outside world are converting leaving a very narrow gene pool.. perhaps it wouldn't be such a bad idea if some of these youths got pregnant durring rumspringa(amish wilding durring youth) thus killing to birds with one stone.. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/rumspringa.

Recent Article on Dinosaur DNA , Decay Rates, etc.

finding dinosaur dna is as unthinkable to an evolutionist as finding a flat earth would be to a geographer.

Dinosaur fossils? And how exactly does that explain how Genesis could be taken literally? I checked and there's no record that Adam named all the dinosaur species when he supposedly named the animals. Nowhere in the OT does it explain how long DNA samples could stay in tact. Am I missing it? Did the Mosaic Law specify the rate of DNA decomposition?
I'll probably get insulted for going off-topic, but if the subject of historical accuracy of the Genesis account is brought up, we need to be honest that the big problem is that the flood story is still there in the Big Book of Jewish Fables. Just because DNA could survive thousands or millions of years, that doesn't explain how the koalas got from Australia to Turkey, then back to Australia. Add to that the millions of other species that Noah would have had to take aboard the ark and Genesis proves itself to be Bronze Age legends without real basis on evidence.

LOL! The pdf is here: http://download.jw.org/files/media_magazines/5a/w_E_20130215.pdf
Page 17 is the skirt. It looks like he should squat and take a dump in the hole.
Page 21, it looks like the old dude in the straw hat must have looked up. He probably suddenly realized that sky-daddy is about to take a giant dump on them all.

Another Lie/Revisionist History in todays WT study!!
by BU2B ini caught yet another revisionist history deception in todays wt lesson.. .
here is a quote from paragraph 4 of the 2/15/13 study edition.
"decades before 1914, jehovah's worshippers declared to the nations that the end of "the appointed times of the nations" would come in that year and that the world would enter into an unequaled period of trouble.".

SAHS: As I recall from somewhere in the Studies in the Scriptures, the 1799 beginning of the last days was based on Napolean's battles in Egypt. You should probably make a comment next Sunday to correct your error about Russell's error

"...and that the world would enter into an unequaled period of trouble."
Those are pretty tricky words. In Russell's time, they thought they were living in terrible times and the world couldn't possibly survive beyond 1914. So their interpretation of "an unequaled period of trouble" beginning in 1914 would mean the rapture of WT Bible Students and global mass murder among humankind.
Since that time, WT has rewritten history to say that the world was practically a global paradise of happiness and prosperity before 1914. By that context, "an unequaled period of trouble" would fit their rewrite of history that after WWI, the world became a much more troubled and dangerous place.
But even at that, they're wrong about 1914 being the beginning of a terrible epoch of history. Although WWI and the other wars of the 20th century were bad, the world has not been experiencing "an unequaled period of trouble". There are problems, but the fact that the global population has grown exponentially and the average lifespan is longer than any time in history, what troubles are they specifically talking about? Are they sad about the eradication of polio and measles? Is Watchtower saying that they world was wonderful when controlled by European monarchs controlling global empires by brute force? Do they consider electrical appliances, cars, and indoor plumbing to be tools of the devil? Does the time since 1914 really qualify as "an unequaled period of trouble" in comparison to the 14th century when the little ice age and the black death killed around half of Europes population? How about when Europeans took measels and smallpox to other countries and decimated the local population? Has WT forgotten the terrible wars of the 19th century, including the American Civil War? Did they think that those were the "good old days" when the slaves and the women knew their place? Their claim that 1914 started "an unequaled period of trouble" exposes their complete ignorance of history.

Welcome Jdd!
"They now leave me alone, I guess I am in their 'too hard' basket."
Indeed. If they can't intimidate you, they become scared of you because they don't have the kind of control over you that they want. It sounds like anything they would try to do to "help" you would just backfire. They'd rather spend time with people that are in awe of their "spiritual grandeousity"

What? No mention of apostates and Internet porn? It had to be listed in the things to confess.
Otherwise, it looks like total recycled material that I'd heard plenty of times before. So glad I don't waste a day of my weekend with such brain-washing.
